RAHWAY — Authorities have charged a 17-year-old Rahway High School student with setting three fires in a school bathroom.
The senior is charged with four counts of arson. His name has not been released because of his age.
Two fires took place on April 4 after toilet paper was ignited in a school bathroom. The school was evacuated and students were allowed back in after the smoke was vented.
The boy also is charged with starting a fire at a restaurant.
Police told The Home News Tribune employees extinguished the fire in a McDonalds on April 3.
