EDISON — An Edison man is in custody today after allegedly shooting and killing a Plainfield resident earlier this month, according to a statement issued by county prosecutor Theodore Romankow.
Malcolm Bradley, 22, was arrested on Fox Street in Edison earlier today after he was located by the Union County Homicide Task Force. He was among several others inside a home. Bradley was found with a loaded handgun, but authorities said he was taken without incident.
In the early morning hours of March 16, Bradley allegedly shot and killed Curtis Stroud, 31, near Berckman Street and South Avenue in Plainfield. Stroud was taken to Muhlenberg Hospital and left there by a group of unidentified men. He was pronounced dead at 1:45 a.m. The men were later interviewed by police, Romankow said.
Bradley has been charged with first-degree murder, as well as weapons offenses. He is being held at the Union County jail on $1 million bail.
