At 12:45 p.m., the robber entered Dollar World Plus at 1615 Park Ave., pulled out a silver gun and demanded money, police said.
The 56-year-old store owner turned over the cash and the bandit fled east on East Golf Avenue, police said.
Authorities described the robber as an African-American man, 20- to 25-years-old, about 6 feet tall, and wearing a black vinyl coat and black hat.
