A Plainfield man was found stabbed to death in his home on East Front Street on Monday.PLAINFIELD — A 19-year-old Plainfield man was discovered stabbed to death at his home on East Front Street Monday evening, marking the city’s third homicide this year.
Jose Feliciano Garcia Toj was found soon after family members called police to report he was missing, said Union County Prosecutor Theodore Romankow.
Last year, there were eight homicides in Plainfield, after having two in all of 2009.
There were no suspects in Toj’s killing, which is under investigation, Romankow said. It is unclear whether Toj’s death is linked to a recent spate of gang-related violence, Romankow said.
