Tipped off that the man would be carrying marijuana, authorities pulled over Andrew Buckmire, 24, as he drove through the area of Milltown Road and Stillwell Court around 7:50 p.m., Soriano said in a statement.
Buckmire admitted to police that he was carrying the drug, and he allowed authorities to search his white Nissan. About a half-pound of marijuana, valued at $3,500, was found in the trunk.
Buckmire was charged with possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute and was released from custody, Soriano said.
