PHILADELPHIA — A prosecutor intends to seek the death penalty in the presumed slaying of a suburban Philadelphia woman, even if police never find her body.
Diane Corado, a former Flemington resident, has been missing since she was kidnapped at gunpoint from her Levittown home last month as a friend watched. Police found her blood-stained car and ex-boyfriend Kenneth Patterson later that day in New Jersey.
The 48-year-old Patterson is due in court this afternoon in Bucks County after waiving extradition. He will be arraigned on kidnapping and related charges.
But Bucks County District Attorney David Heckler plans to charge Patterson with murder and seek the death penalty.
Heckler says it's a strong circumstantial case, even if the 57-year-old victim's body is never found.
