SOUTH BRUNSWICK — A woman who went to a friend's house to console him over the death of a man he knew ended up getting assaulted and held at gunpoint after the two began to argue, according a a report on MyCentralJersey.com
The woman was able to escape the Fresh Ponds Road home and reach a Route 130 gas station, where police located her. The woman's friend, Charles Crouch, 53, was arrested along with his roommate Robert Newman, 52.
The son of the man who died, Richard C. Wall, 21, was arrested for having a 380 handgun in his possession. Fresh Ponds Road was closed for four hours.
