Brian Stern, 34, was arrested at his Montclair home and charged with one count of possession of child pornography, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Stern is a teacher at Montclair Kimberley Academy, according to authorities. Based in Montclair, the academy is a K-12 private day school.
Stern downloaded and shared videos and images of child pornography over an eight-year period, according to the criminal complaint filed in federal court.
In a search of Stern’s residence, investigators found a laptop computer with hundreds of videos and images of young children being restrained and sexually abused, Fishman said.
