BURLINGTON/CAMDEN COUNTY — A 23-year-old man led police on a chase through several South Jersey towns after trying to run over a Riverside police officer and injuring another cop by ramming a cruiser, according to a report on PhillyBurbs.com.
Carl P. Brozis tried to run over a Riverside police officer after being involved in a minor car accident. The officer was involved in another traffic stop at the time.
Police pursued Brozis and the Delran resident eventually pulled over. While surrounded by police, Brozis drove his car into a police cruiser. The police officer in that vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Brozis then sped off and was finally caught when he tried to flee on foot after losing control of his car and crashing in Moorestown. He is being held on $100,000 bail after being charged with attempted vehicular homicide, eluding police, obstruction of justice and driving while intoxicated.
