ROCKAWAY TOWNSHIP — A Morris County grand jury indicted a 51-year-old Rockaway Township man today on a charge of attempted murder in the Nov. 18 shooting of his wife in their home.
David Noll was also indicted on two counts of aggravated assault and one count of weapons possession in the Nov. 18 shooting of Karen Noll, 48.
David Noll, who had worked as a building manager at Morris Knolls High School, is accused of shooting his wife three times with a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber special handgun.
The couple’s 21-year-old son told investigators his mother had frequently discussed her desire to leave the marriage and had told her husband of her divorce plans a week before the shooting, according to an arrest affidavit filed in Superior Court in Morristown.
