HILLSBOROUGH — A 24-year-old Hillsborough resident has been charged after allegedly selling heroin that caused a man to fatally overdose in August, according to a report on MyCentralJersey.com.
Steven Pinter was charged with strict liability for a drug-induced death on Thursday following a six-month investigation, according to the report. The man who died was a 19-year-old identified only as M.S., and prosecutors say he and Pinter traveled to Philadelphia in August, where Pinter bought heroin.
If convicted, prosecutors say Pinter faces up to 20 years in prison, the report said.
