Kaplan said Xiaoye Wang, of Stanley Drive, died Wednesday at University Medical Center at Princeton. He said investigators began their investigation after officials at the hospital reported Wang's death.
The prosecutor said results of an autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office were not immediately available.
Kaplan said while there was "considerable police activity" at Wang's home today, "the investigation has determined that there is no threat to residents of the neighborhood or the community." He would not elaborate.
Details of the police activity cannot be disclosed at this time, but the investigation is continuing, the prosecutor said.
