OCEAN CITY — A day after returning home from Afghanistan to sort out a custodial issue, an Ocean City woman was arrested and thrown in jail on kidnapping charges, according to a report on PressofAtlanticCity.com.
U.S. Army Maj. Yetta Concina, 35, an Army nurse, was deployed Jan. 4 to Afghanistan. On Jan. 7, her ex-husband won a court order in Louisiana awarding him temporary custody of their daughter, the report said. Concina's sister had been caring for the child while she was overseas.
Upon returning home to figure things out, the two women were arrested and jailed on a fugitive warrant for failing to hand over the child, the report said. They spent the weekend locked up before being released Tuesday.
