MORRISTOWN — A pair of Morristown teenagers were arrested early New Year’s Day after allegedly robbing a man on Sussex Avenue.
Police arrived on scene at 1:55 a.m. Saturday morning, and saw Marquis Mitchell, 18, and a 16-year-old accomplice standing over an injured male, according to a press release from Detective Lt. Steven Sarinelli.
The two teens fled the scene when police approached, but were stopped one block away on Bellevue Terrace.
The victim, a 31-year-old Morristown, was not identified but told police that two suspects demanded all his money and took his watch before assaulting him, the release stated.
Mitchell was charged with robbery and aggravated assault. He was taken to Morris County jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.
The 16-year-old, who was not identified, was charged with the same and taken to the juvenile detention facility.
