The man was checking the tire pressure of his car at a Getty station on the corner of Washington and Kingsland avenues at about 5:30 p.m. when a man exited another BMW and entered the victim's car.
The victim injured his a knee, an arm and fingers while trying to stop suspect, who fled south in the car on Washington Avenue toward Belleville. Two people in the car the suspect exited from also escaped.
