PATERSON — A man who provided a tip that was used to catch the killer of a Paterson cop is suing the city and county after not receiving the entire reward promised, according to a report on NorthJersey.com.
Eugene James says he has only been sent checks totaling $20,000 for providing information about the January 2007 murder of officer Tyron Franklin, the report said. Television and newspaper reports indicate a $60,000 reward was offered.
City and police representatives on Monday expressed confusion over who was responsible for administering the reward money, the report said.
