CARLSTADT — A New York man has admitted his role in a plot to rob a New Jersey perfume warehouse.

Twenty-eight-year-old Luis Reyes pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Newark to robbery conspiracy.

He is the eighth defendant to plead guilty in the case. Two New York City police officers and a former officer are among those who previously pleaded guilty.

The robbers entered the In-Style warehouse in Carlstadt on Feb. 9 and restrained 11 workers while they loaded $600,000 worth of perfume onto two box trucks.

Reyes faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, although the actual penalty is likely to be less under federal sentencing guidelines.

He was ordered held for sentencing on Jan. 18.
