Long Branch, NJ.LONG BRANCH -- A Long Branch man was sentenced today to 12 years in prison for beating and strangling his girlfriend in the home they shared in April 2009, according to a report on APP.com
Noel Montes Lopez, 34, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in the slaying of Yesenia Ofelia Osorio, 33, a mother of three and a native of El Salvador, the report said. Montes Lopez said he was using drugs and alcohol on April 5, 2009 when he attacked his girlfriend and killed her, the report said.
